Exhibition Design
CONCEPT:
A didactic panel and museum collateral for an Archie Edwards exhibition at the Virginia Music Hall of Fame. Edwards was a Piedmont Blues Pioneer who used storytelling in his music. He believed that music was an experience, which inspired the use of a three dimensional ‘E’ on the
exhibit to represent Edwards. The use of the handwritten lyrics represent Edward's aspect of storytelling in his music; while they may not be seen or understood at first, a second look (or listen) from a different perspective can help the audience to fully comprehend.
